Question

I'm a sophomore in high school taking American History Honors. I would
just love a little explaining why my grade is the way it is. I had a
97% in the class, then I took a 100 point test and got 80%, this
dropped my grade to a 95%. I then got a 100% on a 20 point essay and a
100% on a 100 point test but this didn't raise my grade. I was
wondering why a B dropped my grade 2% but a 100% didn't raise it? I am
also wondering what it will take to get my 97% back. Thank You.

I have no idea how the calculations worked. There is no significant difference between 97%
and 95%. Stop focussing on percentages, which are basically meaningless symbols, and focus
on your learning. For example, on the test that you got 80% what did you well and what
aspects of the learning were relatively weak? Then work on those weak areas.
