Question

I got an A- for algebra in seventh grade as my final grade. I am
afraid that is not going to let me get into a good college because it
can drop my GPA by a lot. I am going into 8th grade now and I am very
nervous that I might do bad in geometry too. Will getting an A- in
algebra hold me back?

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE get real here. No grade you get in grade 7 or grade 8 is going to
have any impact on getting into a "good" college. Also please stop focussing on grades and
focus on your learning. You need to identify your strengths and your weaknesses in each
subject, especially geometry, and then identify what you need to do to overcome those
weaknesses. School should be about learning not grades; you need to reorient your
thinking and if you do school will be much more enjoyable and productive.
