Question

Our school district has implemented many of your 15 fixes. We are currently struggling with
student apathy when it comes to summative assessments. Some of them use the first
summative opportunity as a preview with the plan to just reassess later. These students then
seem to get into a constant cycle of reassessment. What suggestions do you have for our
teachers who are very frustrated?

says:

Make sure that reassessment is a privilege not a right. Privileges have to be earned and you
earn the privilege of reassessment by doing correctives - no evidence of relearning = no
reassessment.
