Question

My family will be moving from Richmond Virginia, which uses an 8 point grading system to St Louis Missouri. My son is High School student taking advanced classes which involve weighting factors that improve his Grade Point Avg. How will the St Louis school district translate his current grades and weighting factors when they calculate his Grade Point Avg once he starts in the new school next year? Is Grade Point Avg based upon a strict A=4, B=3, C=2 basis or are there in between grades like A-=3.7, B+=3.4 etc.? Who would I need to contact in St Louis to find out more about this?
