Question

Our school district is implementing standards-based grading. We are using a 4 or 5 point rubric for reporting. What percentage ranges should be assigned to each to give equal weighting to each level?

says:

None - the levels should stand on their own. I now see this as one of the biggest problems
with sbg as points and percentages are incompatible with sbg and cause huge difficulties
when equivalencies are established. Grades for subjects - if you have to have them -
should be established by logic rules such as mostly 4's for standards with nothing below a
3 = A, mostly 3's for standards with nothing below a 2 = B and so on.
