Question

Im currently taking a course that that allows for a total of 470 points however the
professor has made it possible to gain 30 bonus points, which would allow for a total of
500 point. My total points are 442 which would be a 94% if he were to total it out of 470,
however on his grading scale I would fall in the B category. The only possible way if that
these bonus point would actually be hurting my score. My question is weather it is
common for a professor to average in bonuses?

I am totally opposed to bonus points but if they are used they should truly be a bonus and the
grade should be determined out of the 470 base points. This is the type of question that
should be addressed to the teacher/professor not me.
