Question

John can find shapes that look like one shown by the teacher. He can play a shape matching game as well. However, he has a difficult time placing objects in various spatial relationships with other objects, such as beside, under, on top of, etc. Is John ready for primary-level activities in geometry, data collection, and algebraic thinking? If so, what would you encourage him to begin? If not, what skills does he need to develop before moving forward?

This is not my area of expertise. You need to address this question to an early years expert.

As I said in my first response - you are asking the wrong person. You need an early years expert. You might try quibly.com
