Question

I scored 156/200 on the midterm exam which, when curved, was the equivalent of a
C+. The professor has given the option to disregard the midterm and have our final test
grade--worth 800 points--represent our final grade. I know I can do much better on the
final because many last points were for ignorant mistakes that i can fix rather easily.

Do you think i should disregard the midterm for a chance at a higher grade?

says:

If you are confident yes, but if the professor uses the completely unacceptable practice
of curving the scores it is a risk.
