Question

Hello!
I'm sorry for any grammar mistakes while you read this , English isn't my strongest subject. I would like you're help , if you may on a class room exam my government teacher has assigned to us, what we are trying to do ,as in making or changing policies, is to change our grading policy from 60test/40homework (strict)back to the original where it was the teachers individuals choice on the amount test/homework was worth. Any advise or links that would help bring back or allow a different grading policy would be appreciated. My research brought me to you, and i thought this would help greatly.

says:

I believe that grading policies should be school-wide, not vary with individual teachers
and that homework has no place in grades. Grades should be determined from a body of
evidence including tests, performance assessments and personal communication (oral
tests), i.e., only from individual summative assessments - no homework, quizzes,
behavior or extra credit.
